Welcome to Worldcarve! I am pleased to tell you that after several lessons from many experiences that life has given me, I have finally realized what all of this really is. Yes, an organic clothing line has been created in which every step has been carefully thought through, and is full of artwork that comes from the soul. In the future, this will grow into technical layers that make sense for being in the ocean and out in deep snow covered environments. Also, through an opportunity to build a few sets of skis a few turns ago, i was awakened to a passion for shaping boards.
All of this is only scratching the surface i have learned. Here’s the BIG picture: Worldcarve is one great big amazing story of friends and family who have met along the way and share a connection through adapting to the environmental conditions of change that is all around them. The bond they have with nature and being out in some of the world’s most unbelievable environments will keep them out in it for life. Not to mention the thoughts of free floating turns down a mountain’s face that they’ve watched for a while now and with this last storm, the time to drop in is now. They will stop at nothing to live and love and to share the moments with the the souls around them. Their children grow as they watch the world from their parents perspective as well. They absolutely love the place in which they live and many of which have now come to realize that their purpose is to help protect it. They stay humbled through moments of feeling extremely small after paddling out into a very rough ocean looking back to see that the paddle back in will be even more scary with an inside current that rushes parallel to the beach like a river and a huge rip tide down a little ways that sucks a few hundred yards straight back out. They are also humbled through the strength of the connection between people in this world, no matter the distance or difference in the geographical locations between them.
This is a story…A story of a people, a place and “Low Pressure Living”.

Worldcarve began as a dream over a dozen years ago as i spent Winter and Spring in Bethel, Maine, riding snow and then migrating down to Fenwick Island, Delaware for Summer and Fall to watch the ocean with my family and ride it’s swell as it came. I had visions of living winters surfing Hawaii and then heading up to Alaska for heli-ski season chasing snow. I call this lifestyle “Low Pressure Living”… riding the weather, chasing low pressure systems as they deliver waves and snow throughout the planet, and meeting friends along the way.
In 2000, Juneau, Alaska and it’s snow covered peaks became home where i have since experienced many amazing moments making turns and getting lost with lifelong friends. The dream continues as i work with Alaska Powder Descents from February through April as a heli-ski guide. With a beautiful wife and two amazing children now, we spend time between Alaska and Arizona, exploring the desert and learning about it’s amazing diversity. You just never know where life’s adventure’s will take you. Even though i haven’t made it to Hawaii yet, it still calls me to this day.
